Position Overview:
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy Division with our Trading group. We are looking for a Gulf Coast Trader, office located in Houston TX or TBD. The successful candidate will lead the effort to expand CHS’ Refined Fuels Trading footprint in the U.S. Gulf Coast by using storage assets to profitably store, arbitrage, and blend refined fuels and intermediates.
Responsibilities:
• Extensive previous experience in gulf coast Refined Fuels Trading.
• Full P/L responsibilities for gulf coast leased storage assets; must locate and capitalize on arbitrage, blending, and storage opportunities.
• Develop, shape, and direct strategies for expansion into different trading regions including global markets; effectively communicate strategy to senior management.
• Seeking out, negotiate, and sign new storage lease contracts.
• This role will be an expert in futures, options, and OTC trading to manage risk.
• Research and articulate market information to peers and management via presentations, written commentary, and meetings.
• Must have proven success in dealing with conflict management and be able to handle a variety of situations successfully.
• Establish and manage industry relationships to leverage market expertise.
• Coordinates pipeline logistics with Refined Fuels Supply on barrels going in and out of storage.
• Explores and recommends possible partnerships and acquisitions.
• Knowledge of gulf coast product specs and import/export logistics on refined fuels.
• Submit daily position and mark to market reports and adhere to trading limits.
• Must be a very proactive employee and self-driven; required to work independently even in ambiguous situations.

Basic Qualifications: (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field.
• 15 years of gulf coast refined fuels trading experience.
• Strong analytical skills required (statistics, regression analysis, etc).
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Preferred qualifications: (desired)
• International trading knowledge.
